Rajinikanth was admitted as he was suffering from various ailments like respiratory problems, excessive fluid in the lungs and kidney failure. Rajinikanth was given intensive treatment. Rajinikanth was also given dialysis. Then as per the advice of Amitabh Bachchan he was taken to Singapore and was admitted at the Mount Elizabeth Hospital on 24th May. Rajinikanth was given hi-tech treatment there.
